Covenant theology (also known as Covenantalism or Federalism) is a framework for interpreting and understanding the Bible by using the concept of a covenant as an organizing principle for Christian theology. Reformed theology affirms and utilizes Covenant theology; which contrasts with other interpretive frameworks, such as Dispensational theology.
