The Reformed Baptist Alliance (or "RBA") is an informal online networking group of Reformed Baptist individuals and organizations. The Reformed Baptist Alliance is most widely known for its online group on Facebook that has several thousands of profiles and pages in the group's membership. The online group has existed since its creation in October 6th, 2006, making it one of the oldest Reformed or Reformed Baptist active Facebook groups.
History
The group was created in October 2006 (just shortly after the Facebook platform launched in February of 2004) making it one of the oldest Reformed or Reformed Baptist groups that are still active on Facebook.
In February 2023, a Reformed Baptist named "Michael" (the sole remaining administrator of the RBA) added Brantley McDonald to the group's administration team, and then departed from being on Facebook. In July 2023, the group became affiliated with a Facebook page of the same name, with the page itself having an administration role over the group, in addition to the profiles that serve as administrators and moderators.
In July 2023, the entire Reformed Baptist Alliance entity (page(s) and group(s)) became an affiliated community project of the 1689 Reformed Baptist organization, which operates websites and social media pages/communities that connect and provide resources/information for Reformed Baptists worldwide.
